All library locations have multifunction devices which you can use to copy, scan and print materials. To access the devices, you need a personal ID card and a University of Helsinki user account.

If you do not have a University of Helsinki user account, you can copy, print and scan using the Print In City service. The service allows you to add credit required for printing, copying and scanning.

The doors of Helsinki University Library are open to all with a thirst for knowledge. Both the printed collections and electronic materials in all library locations can be used by all customers.

Some of the reading spaces and all of the bookable groupwork facilities can be used only by students, researchers and staff of the University of Helsinki. In addition, only University students and staff can access online materials acquired by the library via remote access with an off-campus device.
