All set for the 2024 Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon

Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon is organized on 15 – 24 May 2024 at the University of Helsinki. The event brings together students and researchers of humanities, social sciences and computer science, for a 1,5 week of co-operation in groups. Public presentation of the projects will take place on 24 May 2024.

This year our 4 groups will focus on eighteenth-century luxury books, parliamentary data, Eurovision song contest and social media. 13 organisers and group leaders are ready to welcome 43 participants out of which 15 are from outside Finland. This kind of international 10-day event would not be possible without generous sponsorship by DARIAH-EU, CLARIN-EU and HIIT.

We will have public presentations of the projects on Friday, 24 May 2024 at 12:30–15:30:
12:30–12:40: What is #DHH24 Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon?
12:40–14:00: Presentations of Hackathon work by the groups
14:00–15:30: Wine and poster session

The presentations take place at the Main Building, Fabianinkatu 33, room Studium 1 (F3020), 3rd floor (map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/psu3peEDjxhdGVDVA)
