International top-level pharmaceutical research with the seamless combination of high-level education and advanced business collaboration
The Faculty’s research focus is pharmaceutical research that is multidisciplinary and international in nature. The Drug Research Program (DRP) brings together research groups in the field across disciplinary boundaries, supporting the development, patenting and commercialisation of novel drugs. DRP comprises several units that are made up of more than 35 research groups and 220 researchers.
The Faculty is responsible for coordinating FinPharma, a national cooperation and research platform for pharmaceutical research established in 2019. FinPharma aims to develop novel drug therapies by pooling expertise in biomedicine, neuroscience and veterinary medicine.
Excellent professional relevance of pharmacy degrees
The Faculty educates specialists, researchers and managers for the various sectors of drug development and healthcare. Degrees in pharmacy are relevant to professional life, and our graduates have excellent employment prospects. Every year, approximately 150 bachelor's, 50 master's and 15 doctoral degrees in pharmacy are completed at the Faculty.
The Faculty includes the Division of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, the Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology as well as the Division of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy.
