The educational sciences improved their ranking from 50 to 41 in the discipline-specific annual Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
This marked rise is a very positive change after years of decline, bringing back educational sciences at the University of Helsinki to the global top 50. Among European universities the University is ranked 8th, behind five British universities and one from Germany and the Netherlands each. Among Nordic universities, the University of Helsinki is ranked at the top.
“The broad-based research profile of the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Educational Sciences is reflected in its international esteem. We can all be proud of this result.”
