Hi, I’m Ulla!
What is your job title?
I work as a consultant at Miltton. My title is People Lead and Director, Employee Communications.
What does your job entail?
I lead a team of experts and one of our businesses. I also act as a client and project lead in client teams. In practice, I have a lot of discussion with clients and find the best solutions for their problems and the right people to solve them.
What pros and cons does your job have?
My work is super versatile and quick-paced. I always have several projects and things to take care of going on. This really suits me, and I get to learn new things all the time – but for someone else, this might be a con.
How did you get employed at your current place of work?
I applied to Miltton’s trainee program and was selected. From then on, I’ve been learning and growing with the company.
What skills do you think helped you get employed (studies, previous work experience, etc.)?
- My organizing and project management skills – which I had developed during my studies and my time at SUB
- Previous communications internship at a government organization
- The way I was able to talk about my skills and previous experience
What has your career path been like?
During my studies, I did a lot of substitute teaching and one communications internship. After graduation, I started at Miltton and have been working here ever since. My roles and responsibilities have changed over the years with the growing skillset – and a company that keeps growing and developing all the time.

I graduated from the university in 2011.

I studied English as my major. My minors were:
- Pedagogical studies
- North American Studies
- Communications
- French
Did your eventual job match the expectations you had in the beginning of your studies?
To be honest, I had no expectations when I started studying. I didn’t know at all what I wanted to do – and it’s ok!
