If religions have become part of the problem in the world, could they also become part of the solution?

The University of Helsinki is establishing a new multidisciplinary research unit to provide in-depth research into of the role of religions in conflicts and their resolution. Special emphasis will focus on different aspects of gender. The unit builds on the long-standing reputation of Finland and the other Nordic countries in international conflict resolution.

The Faculty of Theology is aiming to secure the future of the project through fundraising. The aim is to raise funding for a new chair in Religions, Conflict and Dialogue.
