The Society of Wood and Polymer Chemistry in Finland has been founded 1958. Today, it has over 200 members. The aim of the society is to promote education, research, and interdisciplinary activities as well as contacts between academia and industry. For this purpose, it arranges scientific seminars, visits to industrial and public research institutions and grants awards.
