The 24th Nordic Demographic Symposium will be held in Helsinki, Finland on June 9–11, 2027, at the Main Building of the University of Helsinki. The symposium brings together leading population scholars, both within and outside academia, from across the Nordic countries to present cutting-edge demographic research and discuss recent trends in population development and policy.
The event provides a forum for the exchange of ideas among researchers, policymakers, and data experts working on demographic questions. Particular emphasis is placed on supporting early-career researchers and fostering collaboration across the Nordic demographic community.
By bringing together scholars and practitioners from across the region, the symposium aims to strengthen the demographic field and promote dialogue between research and policy.
The language of the conference is English.
The Symposium will begin on the morning of the 9th around 9:00 and conclude after lunch on the 11th around 13:30.
