IUFRO Symposium on Forest Education – Merging theory and practice with help of digital tools

There is a field trip in the conference programme. That is why it is recommended that you prepare carefully with your clothing. A typical temperature in early October is in Southern Finland from 5 to 10 C. Tracking boots is a good idea.

The conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the Conference. The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind so please check the validity and coverage of your own travel insurance.

Conference venues

University of Helsinki (Helsinki in Viikki campus and field station Hyytiälä), Lohja, Nemus Futurum visit by Metsä Group and partly virtual platform (hybrid).

October 2: in Helsinki downtown at University mainbuilding (address: Fabianinkatu 33)

October 3: in Viikki campus, travelling from hotel to campus organized by the symposium

Accommodation

Hotel recommendations, please choose any of these in the downtown to have a nice connection to the university for the first Symposium day. Possible accommodation can also be requested from the university's hotel services (unihome.fi). A travelling arrangements to Viikki campus for the second day will be arranged by organizer.
