YSI pre-conference workshop

As has become tradition, the YSI Philosophy of Economics working group is organising a pre-conference workshop on Sunday, 18 August. This time the workshop is "Women in Economics: Past and Present". The workshop is meant to offer an opportunity to take some stock on the progress made so far by women in economics and to address the challenges that still lie ahead. Prof. Diana Strassmann (Rice), founder editor of the journal Feminist Economics and Dr Beatrice Cherrier, historian of economics, have confirmed their participation.

As usual, some travel grants are available for young scholars who want to participate in the workshop and conference. Interested scholars should follow the procedure to participate in the conference and send an email to philecon@youngscholarsinitiative.org indicating their interest in being considered for the grant.
