The library has a board appointed by the university rector. Its task is to develop the library and information services of the University of Helsinki, as well as the operations of the library, in collaboration with the university librarian, in accordance with the university's strategy and the library's action plan.
The board serves as an expert body in the field of library and information services at the University of Helsinki.
