International Staff Services at the University of Helsinki welcomes international researchers, teachers and other staff to the University of Helsinki. International Staff Services assists both incoming and outgoing staff in matters related to their international experience as well as provides centralized assistance for the administrative and other support personnel on the University of Helsinki campuses. In addition, International Staff Services organizes training and information sessions related to working at the University of Helsinki and working abroad.
Arrival support for new international staff
Support is available to all new international employees and grant researchers on relocation matters and working at the University of Helsinki.
Thorough and practical guidance materials on relocation are offered to all staff members arriving from abroad. Various trainings and activities are organized throughout the year to welcome new international staff members to the university community.

The University of Helsinki encourages its staff members to go abroad. International Staff Services offers assistance for University of Helsinki staff members going to work abroad on matters related to, i.e. immigration, social security and taxation, in cooperation with the University of Helsinki Campus Personnel Services.
Co-operation and organization
International Staff Services serves the faculties, departments and central administration at the University of Helsinki. It also cooperates with a number of other Finnish universities, CIMO, the officials and other internationally invested parties in Helsinki, Finland and abroad. International Staff Services represents UH In Finnish Academic Mobility Support -network (FAMO).
University of Helsinki is a member of EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion, which is a unique pan-European initiative providing access to a complete range of information and support services to researchers wishing to pursue their research careers in Europe or stay connected to it.
