Radiochemistry laboratories
Visit the radiochemistry facility at the University of Helsinki in this virtual tour. It will guide you through the radiopharmaceutical chemistry laboratories where we primarily work on cancer imaging and therapy.
Here we use cancer cells for radiopharmaceutical biological evaluation, organic chemistry laboratory for synthesis of new radiolabeling precursors and liquid chromatography for purification. Radiopharmaceutical synthesis is carried out in specially designed labs and short-lived PET radioisotopes are produced using the cyclotron.
