ISEW Club for Talent Attraction and Retention 2019

ISEW Club for Talent Attraction and Retention focuses on Higher Education HR perspectives on talent attraction and retention. We will be sharing best practices and ideas on how to attract talents – and how to retain them. The event features an HR Hackathon! Come develop and innovate working models with us in Helsinki!

In addition to intensive working session and fruitful ideation, participants have a great opportunity to build their new network of professionals. ISEW Club for Talent Attraction and Retention takes place in June 12-14, 2019.


For the ISEW Club for Talent Attraction and Retention, we invite HR professionals working in the field of Higher Education HR and Recruitment to share their expertise in e.g.

  • recruitment and talent attraction
  • onboarding and induction of new staff
  • integration and community


Registration for ISEW Club for Talent Attraction and Retention took place from March 25 to April 12, 2019. The link to the electronic registration form was accessible during the registration period.


ISEW Club for Talent Attraction and Retention is free of charge for participants, who are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs only.


The model of this event is based on a hackathon, an intense group working session for innovation and development.
Participants will be divided into teams and each team will work on one preassigned theme.

The aim is to develop and/or innovate HR services, processes or functions etc. related to the theme. The teams’ work is supported by mentors, tools and nourishment.


The preliminary programme (.pdf) is found at the bottom of this webpage. All registered participants will be provided with the final programme with venues prior to the workshop. ISEW Club for Talent Attracation and Retention will take place in the City Centre Campus.

Trans­port­a­tion from & to the air­port

The train connection between Helsinki city centre and Helsinki Airport takes about 30 minutes.
The Finnair City Bus operates between Helsinki Railway Station and the airport. The bus 615 also serves the airport.
A journey by taxi from the airport to the centre of Helsinki takes about 30 minutes and costs around 45 to 50 euros.
Detailed information about tickets, schedules and prices for public transportation, also within the city, will be provided to registered participants.

All registered participants will receive three countdown letters, filled with practical information on how to get ready for Helsinki. We will also give tips what to do if you want to stay here over the weekend!
