Out now: Siirtomaavalta-ajan historiat - Dekolonisoidut vuoropuhelut
CALLIOPE researchers joined forces with Sergio Castrillón, an artist and researcher, to build a bridge between history and present as well as voice and writing.
The open access research article discusses conventions of preserving audible voice and music into written form, and describes production of a piece of music "The Guts of the Atlas". The composition reflects paradigms of intercultural dialogue and corporeality. The collaborative effort explores tools that can be used in versatile creative and analytic ways.
The article can be read in Finnish in Musiikin suunta.
A recording of the performance of the composition is available on YouTube.
