Helsinki is most easily reachable through Helsinki-Vantaa international airport, with direct flights to most of the relevant airports for our project.

For the more adventurous, travel by ferry from Tallinn (~2h) or Stockholm (overnight) is an affordable option.

Local transport in Helsinki

The city's local transport system, , serves Kumpula campus at high rates. Search for "Exactum" as the destination on the HSL travel planner (The closest bus stops to Exactum building are "Kumpulan Kampus" or "A.I. Virtasen aukio").

From the airport, we suggest you take the train to the city centre, and then reach Kumpula with any of the the buses with a 700-number.

You can buy tickets from (e.g. at the airport), via or directly from any bus or train by using on the ticket payment in the bus.

Weather and climate

The meeting will take place close to midsummer, so expect it to be bright all day 'round. (The sun will set around 23:00, but it will remain bright enough to read outside even at midnight).

Finnish weather at Midsummer is a bid unpredictable. It might be +25°C, or it might be a bit snowy. Check the weather prediction before departure to pack accordingly.
