The interdisciplinary research group examines medicines and the pharmacy profession from a societal perspective. Our work explores how medicines are used, regulated, and accessed, and how institutions, structures, and policies shape their use. We analyse medicines as part of healthcare systems and broader social policy frameworks. We apply quantitative and qualitative methods from social sciences, pharmacoepidemiology, drug utilisation research and health services research. We collaborate closely with INVEST Research Centre and Flagship, Uppsala University and many other national and international research communities.
