I am adjunct professor in medical genetics and specialist in ob&gyn and clinical genetics. My research interests are genetics, molecular mechanisms, risk factors and later life implications of common pregnancy disorders.
I am specialist in obstetrics and gynecology and with special interest in reproductive immunology. I have graduated from University of Turku and I did my thesis Immunoregulation in the human decidua 2003 also in University of Turku. At the time I am full time clinician working in Helsinki University Hospital mainly with obstetric patients.
I received my PhD in clinical nutrition at the University of Eastern Finland in 2010. The research focused on obesity predisposing genes and lifestyle factors. In the current group as a postdoctoral fellow I work with the InterPregGen project which is the first large-scale international effort to identify maternal and fetal susceptibility genes for pre-eclampsia.
I am a human geneticist currently working on my PhD. In my research I focus on identifying genetic risk factors for pre-eclampsia both in affected families and in general population, mostly with next-generation sequencing methods.
I am an evolutionary geneticist, I studied at University of East Anglia and University of Helsinki. I first became interested in pregnancy disorders in late 2009. Since 2010 I have studied immunogenetics of pre-eclampsia with specific focus on the complement system.
I am an MD and specialised in obstetrics and gynecology in University of Helsinki. I have been working in the PREDO project since it started. I am interested in pregnancy disorders and fetal medicine with special focus on the prediction and prevention pre-eclampsia.
M.D., Specialist in OB&GYN, graduated from University of Turku 2009. I am a clinician and my particular interest is fetal medicine. I am working on my doctoral thesis in PREDO-project. The topic is ”Prediction of Pre-eclampsia”.
I’m clinical laboratory technologist and my resposibilities are taking care of the samples and sample databases in the lab.
I am a trained midwife. As the group’s research nurse I am responsible for our clinical databases and assist in the group’s research projects.
