Received my PhD from The Australian National University undertaking a project studying transformation and gene silencing techniques in Helicoverpa armigera (the Cotton Bollworm) before beginning work as a laboratory manager for Prof. Barry Pogson in the CoE for Plant Energy Biology. During the 12 months I spent as part of the receptor-ligand signalling group in 2015-2016, I used yeast-2-hybrid to identify protein binding partners of specific Cysteine-Rich Receptor-like protein Kinases (CRKs) in order to shed light on the CRKs involvement in ROS signalling.
I like sprinting, photography, gaming and travelling.
Rajita was a research assistant carrying out split-ubitquitin yeast two-hybrid analyses from 2016 to 2017.
Simon was an Erasmus student from the Technical University Braunschweig in Germany in 2017.
