Tune to the right frequency
We report a new simple method to generate infrared frequency combs with full control of the optical phase. The repetition frequency, offset frequency, as well as the common phase offset of the comb modes can be controlled independently with high precision. As a bonus, we demonstrate the possibility of dividing the repetition frequency (comb mode spacing) on demand by any integer factor.
The method is versatile and easy implement - both useful features in optical frequency comb spectroscopy, direct or comb-assisted. For more, see the original publication:
