Professor Hsieh comes from the Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering in the National Taiwan University. His broad expertise and research interest is on hydrology, micrometeorology, global climate change, and environmental biophysics with emphases on 1) turbulent transport of momentum, heat, water vapor, CO2, and other passive and chemical scalars through biosphere-atmosphere interfaces, 2) greenhouse gases emissions from natural, urban, and agricultural ecosystems, and 3) ecosystem’s photosynthetic response to future climate change.
