Research and subgroups

Metapopulation Research Centre is one of the Centres of Excellence (CoE) nominated and funded by the national research Academy in Finland.

The centre consists of independent subgroups led by Principal Investigator (PI) and a shared office. In addition to the CoE funding and some shared services, the subgroups have additional project funding from various sources with what they are conducting research in their own fields, although in many cases this includes close collaboration between the subgroups in the MRC.
