Professor Outi Mäkitie was one of the recipients. Her professorship is in translational medicine in the field of pediatric bone diseases and pediatric endocrinology. This new 5-year professorship with associated research funding provides a unique possibility to continue long-term research in this area at the University of Helsinki. Professor Mäkitie held a Sigrid Jusélius Professorship also in 2016-2020.
