Natan Elgabsi awarded Best First Book Prize

MePhiS member, postdoctoral researcher Natan Elgabsi has been awarded the Best First Book Prize (2024-2025).

Elgabsi's book Existential Ethics and the Philosophy of Historiography: Transgenerational Life and Memory in Literary Culture (Routledge) was awarded by the International Commission for the History and Theory of Historiography (ICHTH) and the International Network for Theory of History (INTH). The awarding ceremony was held at Tallinn University on 22 May 2026.

Natan Elgabsi currently works in the Centre of Excellence in Meliorist Philosphy of Suffering (MePhiS) in the research team for work package 4 Suffering and Meliorism in Literature and the Philosophy of Literature at University of Tampere.
