Increased logging conflicts with emissions reduction target

In 2021 the Finnish land use, land-use change and forestry sector (LULUCF) produced more carbon emissions than stored for the first time.

A significant reason behind the raised emissions was the increase of logging. The goal of Sanna Marin's government program is for Finland to be carbon neutral by 2035.
