Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) is formed by 24 municipalities and is the largest health care provider in Finland with 27,000 employees and 680 000 annually treated patients. It is also the leading medical teaching and research hospital in Finland. The Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine at HU and HUS has a strong collaboration.
