We are excited to introduce a brand-new newsletter created to bring together people who share one common interest: improving the health and wellbeing of dogs through knowledge, research and education.
The newsletter is a joint initiative between the DogRisk Research Group, the Raw Feeding Veterinary Society (RFVS) and the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies (CIVT). By bringing together perspectives from research, veterinary practice and education, we hope to create a space where new knowledge can be shared across disciplines — and where scientific findings can reach the people who can put them into practice.
What can you expect?
Each edition will feature a mix of research updates, expert articles, interviews, educational opportunities, upcoming events and news from our communities.
Our aim is to make the newsletter relevant to a wide audience. Whether you are a veterinarian, researcher, veterinary nurse, student, therapist, nutritionist, dog owner, or simply interested in learning more about canine health and nutrition, we hope you will find something worth reading.
The newsletter will also give us an opportunity to go beyond individual research papers and projects. We want to introduce the people behind the work, explore emerging ideas and questions in canine health, highlight interesting events and educational opportunities, and encourage discussion between researchers, professionals and the wider dog community.
Inside our first edition
In our first newsletter, readers can discover what is happening across the DogRisk, RFVS and CIVT communities, learn about upcoming events and educational opportunities, and hear directly from experts working in canine health, nutrition and integrative veterinary medicine.
It is the beginning of what we hope will become a regular meeting point for research, clinical experience, education and practical ideas.
Most importantly, we want this newsletter to help make knowledge accessible. There is an enormous amount of interesting work taking place in canine health and nutrition, and by bringing different communities together, we hope to make it easier to discover, discuss and share.
We hope you enjoy our first edition — and we look forward to sharing many more with you!
