Sanja Hakala will defend her thesis “Social polymorphism and dispersal in Formica ants” 9.6.2020 at 9am UTC (12 noon Finnish time). The whole thesis can be found here and the link to the public online defense here.
After the defense Sanja will move on to new adventures with ant social evolution, and starts a three-year post doc in the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, in the lab of Social Fluids. Her future work is funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation and the Swiss Government Excellence scholarship.
