About

BEHAVE brings together researchers working on democracy and political behavior broadly understood, including public opinion, political elites, political communication, public administration, elections, and voting. Founded in 2025, the group provides a collaborative platform for scholars in these fields. Today, BEHAVE includes around 20 members, primarily from the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Swedish School of Social Sciences at the University of Helsinki, as well as colleagues from the University of Turku and Tampere University.
Activities and research agenda

BEHAVE invites members and guests to monthly seminars that provide an opportunity to share ideas, present papers, and listen to invited speakers. The group also facilitates collaboration around research ideas, project development and funding applications.
