Marli de Fátima Fiore (Univ. of Sao Paolo) we investigate cyanobacteria, their bioactive compounds and biosynthetic gene diversity in several Brazilian under-explored environments. The projects includes visits, exchange of students and organization of joint workshops. In the frame of this project we organized conference titled “International Workshop on Cyanobacterial Natural Products” in Piracicaba, Sao Paolo University Brazil. There were 12 speakers from five different countries, a total of 58 attendants from nine different Brazilian States and Germany.
