In-silico drug repurposing for accelerated discovery of treatments

Drug repurposing can be achieved by finding new targets for approved drugs or identifying drug associations with new indications. We are developing prediction tools and databases to foster drug repurposing. Following are the sub-projects that are currently in the pipeline.

1. Development of AI-based methods, open-access databases, and in-silico tools to find associations between approved drugs and new indications, as part of the REMEDi4ALL Horizon Europe project

2. Prediction of clinical trial study outcome using deep learning algorithms

3. Development of AI-based drug-target interaction prediction methods

4. Deep text mining of new targets for approved drugs in the literature

5. Development of computational methods for drug selectivity scoring

6. Crowdsourced-based integration and harmonization of drug-target profiles, as extension of DrugTargetCommons
