YOUNG-programme's day brought together researchers

The YOUNG-programme event on the 29th of April brought together researchers from different consortiums to spend a day discussing child and adolescent research. In addition to IMAGINE, four other consortiums of the Strategic Research Council -funded YOUNG programme—SchoolWell, Right to Belong, ACElife, and Out of Despair—participated in the event. These consortiums are all connected in their search for solutions to reduce loneliness among young people, prevent adverse life transitions, support holistic well-being, and promote inclusion and a sense of community.

The day started with a presentation on the activities and impact of Strategic Research, followed by presentations from each consortium. After a delicious salad lunch, the event continued with small group discussions. Topics included intervention development, implementation research, sensitive research data, register-based studies, linking different research data, and supporting youth inclusion. During the round-up of the discussions, we got to experience what made this day so unique—almost 80 researchers in one room, brainstorming for more inclusive research and a more sustainable future.
