BGA, founded in 1970, is an international society dedicated to the scientific study of the interrelationships between genetic mechanisms and behaviour (human and animal), education/training of researchers, and public dissemination of knowledge on genetics and behaviour and their implications for health, development, and education. Overall, BGA 2026 showcased the field’s integration of classical twin/family methods with large-scale genomic, multi-omics, and causal-inference approaches, while highlighting early-career researchers and the societal/public dimensions of behavioural genetics research.
Dr. Li Tian from the CLIPI group participated in a ” in the BGA 2026 conference. She gave an oral presentation on the recent research findings of direct and indirect parental genetic effects of neuropsychiatric predisposition on child’s externalizing and internalizing behavioural problems using family-based trio datasets in a multi-cohort study.
