Report on Nordic Added Value in Inter-ministerial Nordic Co-operation

What is Nordic added value and how is it understood and operationalized in the inter-ministerial Nordic cooperation?

Researchers from CENS have authored a report on Nordic added value in inter-ministerial Nordic cooperation, which has recently been published on TemaNord. The report contains a conceptual history of the principle of Nordic added value's use and development since the early 1990s, in-depth analyses of interpretations and operationalization of the principle in a range of Nordic institutions, as well as 6 recommendations for the current and future usage of the principle in Nordic co-operation.

Frederik Forrai Ørskov has been the main author and editor of the report, which also contains contributions from Tuire Liimatainen, Hasan Akintug, Essi Turva and Emilia Berg. Peter Stadius has been the project leader.

The project was funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers through NordForsk. It is a follow-up to Tuire Liimatainen's report on Nordic added value in Nordic research co-operation, published in 2023.
