Edited by Nina Græger, Ruth Hemstad, Peter Nedergaard, and Peter Stadius (Centre for Nordic Studies, University of Helsinki), the Handbook of Nordic Cooperation brings together leading scholars to explore the development, institutions, and future trajectories of Nordic collaboration.
The volume provides a broad and interdisciplinary overview of Nordic cooperation, covering themes from politics and security to culture, identity, and regional governance. It traces both the historical roots and contemporary forms of cooperation, situating them within a wider European and global context.
Professor Peter Stadius contributed two individual chapters and co-authored a third, in addition to serving as one of the editors of the book. Professor Johan Strang (CENS) contributed one chapter.
The Handbook of Nordic Cooperation is part of Edward Elgar’s renowned series of academic handbooks and is expected to become an essential reference for scholars, students, and policymakers interested in Nordic and regional cooperation.
The Handbook of Nordic Cooperation is published in Open Access, with funding provided by the ReNEW (Reimagining Norden in an Evolving World) research hub.
