You are all warmly welcome to our next event in our running seminar series -
Helsinki Centre for Intellectual History's November Seminar "Visions of Union: Power and People" takes place on Friday, November 8 at 15:00!
Come to listen and discuss with us and our two guest speakers the various topics of issues of popular sovereignty, aspects of union and political economy within the early modern context.
We will have two presentations given by our guest speakers who are coming to Helsinki:
Shannon Stimson (Georgetown): Sovereignty, Economy and Union in the 17th-Century England and Ireland.
James Harris (St Andrews): People and Multitude in the History of Political Thought.
The talks are followed by discussions, and no worries, afterwards we will also have ample time to have a glass to drink and mingle!
The event takes place at Fabianinkatu 24A (Seminar Room 524, 5th floor, access via door not courtyard).
We hope to see you there!
