Research

Biodiversity, Systematics and Evolution of Insects research group's combined cross-taxon scope is global and integrates a multitude of approaches and methods enabling analysis of an extensive range of morphological, molecular and faunistic data across broad geographical and temporal scales.

We are independent researchers in the Zoology unit sharing a focal interest in scientifically investigating, documenting and communicating the extraordinary variety, evolutionary history and ecological significance of Earth’s most diverse organisms.

Our combined cross-taxon scope is global and integrates a multitude of approaches and methods enabling analysis of an extensive range of morphological, molecular and faunistic data across broad geographical and temporal scales.

Much of our research is collections-based and we are united in studying specimens deposited in LUOMUS and many collaborating natural history museums and collections worldwide.

Researchers and their topics are presented on the People page.
