The conference will take place in the Main Building of the University of Helsinki (Fabianinkatu 33), rooms F3003 and F3005, on the 3rd floor (note that the ground floor is considered the 1st floor). The venue is accessible.

Lunch will be served on the 2nd floor of the Porthania Building (Yliopistonkatu 3).

The conference dinner will be held at Restaurant Chéri (Eteläesplanadi 22).

All venues are within a 5–10 minute walking distance of each other.

HSL is the provider of public transportation in the Helsinki region. You can buy single and daily tickets using the HSL app. You can also buy tickets from ticket machines located at most stops and from R-kiosks. The “AB” ticket covers the entire Helsinki area. For travel to and from the airport, you will need an “ABC” ticket. You must keep the tickets always with you as inspectors check them randomly.

From the Helsinki airport, you can take a 30-minute train ride to Helsinki City Centre. The University is a 10-minute walk from the Central Railway Station. If your accommodation is close to the University, taking the train is probably much more convenient and cheaper than taking a taxi. Both trains I & P from the airport arrive at the Central Railway Station.

Eduroam is available at university premises. Visitors can also join the visitor network “HelsinkiUni Guest”:

  • Password: uniguest
  • A visitor can use the network for five (5) hours at a time, after which they need to reaccept the terms of use (the number of sessions is not restricted).
  • The session is disconnected after 30 minutes if the user is not using the network.
  • Network traffic speeds are limited.

You must accept the terms of use before continuing. Read the terms and click Accept / Hyväksy / Godkänn.
