Supporting the well-being of higher education teachers creates better conditions for both teaching and learning. The THEwellbeing project investigates the relationship between higher education teachers’ pedagogical competences and well-being. We examine how learning-centred teaching, teaching-related experiences, and occupational well-being are interconnected, as well as which pedagogical practices can support teachers’ well-being. Based on its findings, the project will develop research-informed practices designed to strengthen higher education teachers’ pedagogical competence and well-being while enhancing the quality of teaching.
