KOMKRIS presented a poster at the Swedish School of Social Science Research Days at Svenska social- och kommunalhögskolan, sharing the project’s research with the social science research community. KOMKRIS presented a poster at the launch event of the Societal Security hub at the University of Helsinki. The presentation introduced the project’s research on how Nordic and Baltic societies strengthen societal resilience and crisis governance in response to increasingly complex and hybrid antagonistic threats.

Gwenaëlle Bauvois, Niko Pyrhönen and Kanerva Kuokkanen chaired a workshop on Antagonistic Threats and Crises in the Nordic-Baltic Region at the Finnish Political Science Association's Annual Conference held in Tampere. Gwenaëlle presented the initial results of the KOMKRIS scoping review, Sasu Katajamäki talked in his presentation about China’s and Russia’s dual-use activities in the Arctic as a potential antagonistic threat for the Nordics, and Kanerva Kuokkanen discussed how emotions could be studied in the context of crises on the basis of the research project Politics of Grievance and Democratic Governance (PLEDGE).

Fellowship at The Institute of Contemporary History, Ljubljana, Slovenia contributed to building relationships with a highly reputable international partner, helping to strengthen academic networks that can support future collaboration. It also provided exposure to a different European context, particularly small states shaped by histories of conflict and transition, offering relevant comparative perspectives for the KOMKRIS project.
