The programme offers education in the management of international food business, marketing, and gastronomy. The language of instruction is English, and there are 20 places available in the programme.
This autumn, anyone interested has the opportunity to participate in two free, English-language pilot courses that serve as a showcase for the programme. The first course, International Food Market: Marketing and Management Perspectives, focuses on international food business under the guidance of Dr. Kaisamaija Välimäki, Doctor of Business Administration. The online course will be held at Helsinki University's Open University from November 24 to 26 and December 1 to 3, 2026, from 16:30 to 18:30.

The second online pilot course, Sustainable Gastronomy, focuses on gastronomy and sustainability. It will be led by Silvia Gaiani, a senior researcher at the Ruralia Institute, and will be held at Helsinki University's Open University from October 26 to November 20, 2026.
– The course examines, among other things, how sustainability shapes contemporary Nordic gastronomy, Gaiani states.
Additionally, a three-day, fee-based Food Tourism Field Course will take place in Mikkeli in April 2027, introducing participants to the origins of food and its cultural significance.
