All those who have completed a doctoral degree (Doctor of Theology or Doctor of Philosophy) at the University of Helsinki Faculty of Theology and have not previously been conferred their degree can participate in the conferment ceremony. The public examination of their doctoral thesis must take place no later than 15 March 2023 so that the thesis can be approved at the Faculty Council meeting on 18 April 2023. Those whose doctoral thesis has not yet been examined should contact their professor in charge.
Graduands can attend the ceremony together with their spouse or another companion. The companions are welcome to attend all the events organised in connection with the conferment. The conferment ceremony itself is free of charge, but those participating in the gala dinner and excursion must purchase a ticket and pay the excursion fee when registering.
