From 24-25 October 2024, the ESSA Project Workshop in Nairobi, Kenya, brought together participants from across sectors to advance understanding of climate-smart agriculture, environmental stewardship, and community resilience.
Held at the University of Nairobi’s main campus, the ESSA Workshop gathered 56 participants, including representatives from nine ESSA project partner organizations and stakeholders across agropastoral and livestock sectors, as well as local government officials. Presentations included keynote addresses, policy briefs, stories of change, and various research contributions, all compiled in a 92-page workshop booklet.
The ESSA Workshop underscored the impact of multidisciplinary collaboration, advanced policy engagement strategies, and strengthened project partnerships, positioning ESSA to continue driving sustainable agricultural and environmental solutions across regions.
