How to apply
Here is your roadmap to the application process. The online application for Master's programmes is accessible from first of December 2016 to 12th of January 2017. As soon as possible, you should make sure that you satisfy the language requirements and that you have collected and authorized your application documents. When the application period starts, complete your registration on Studyinfo.fi portal and fill in the application. Submit all items in time to meet the deadline.
The application period is from first of December 2016 to 12th of January 2017. The University of Helsinki has one intake of students per year for the Master's (graduate) level.

Be 1 of the Best is our scholarship programme for students who are applying to the University of Helsinki. These scholarships are intended for excellent students from outside the EU/EEA* who want to do a master's programme at the University of Helsinki. Grants can be applied while applying to the University of Helsinki’s masters’ programmes.
Remember that the application deadline for both programmes and scholarships is the same. Applications for scholarships will open in December 2016. More info from here!

In Finland, annual tuition fees will be introduced to foreign-language Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes starting on August 1, 2017 or later. At the University of Helsinki, this in practice refers to Master’s programmes in English. Citizens of non-EU/EEA countries, who do not have a permanent residence status in the area, are liable to these fees.
