I am a post-doctoral researcher in ethnoecology funded by the Academy of Finland. Most of my research deals with the relations between biological and cultural diversity, and the role that Indigenous Peoples play in biodiversity conservation and global sustainability. I have carried out a wide range of ethnographic fieldwork amongst Indigenous Peoples and other local communities across much of the Global South, working in countries such as Bolivia, Costa Rica, Kenya and Madagascar.
