Research Services is part of University Services. Research Services furthers the University’s preconditions for research, is responsible for the University’s own research funding, and provides expert research services.
Research Services invites applications for two positions of
SENIOR ADVISOR IN RESEARCH FUNDING,
one a permanent position, the other for the period of 1.9.2017-31.12.2020.
The senior advisors will work in the University’s centralised support services for strategic projects. The duties will include preparing extensive funding applications (e.g. EIT-KIC, PROFI and Centre of Excellence Calls), assisting in the planning of funding strategies of various units, monitoring and influencing national and international research policies, contacting funders, as well as other activities aimed at increasing the University’s external research funding.
The senior advisors are expected to have a Master's degree; a doctoral degree will be considered an asset. The posts require experience in research organisations and of support for applying for research funding, the ability to work independently, the ability to carry out even the most challenging of duties, as well as excellent communication and co-operation skills. Expertise in the international research funding environment will be seen as an asset. The appointees should also be proficient in spoken and written English and have good ICT skills.
Research Services will offer the appointees diverse and challenging duties in an international work community amid the most recent research. In addition, we offer the appointees an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills, work flexibly, and have access to extensive occupational health care as well as inexpensive and wide-ranging sport and exercise services. The salary for the positions is based on level 10 of the demands-level chart for other than teaching and research personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid. The gross monthly salary will be approximately 3,800 – 4,400 euros depending on the appointee’s skills and experience. There is a four-month trial period for the position.
