for a fixed-term of two years, starting September 1st 2017, with a possibility for continuation.

We are looking for an applicant with a MSc degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacy or equivalent and a keen interest in the research field of diabetes and diabetic kidney complication. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team is required as well. Previous experience in cell culture, cell biology and protein biochemistry techniques and mouse models is considered a benefit.

The position is placed in a Tekes-funded project, which aims at developing new glucose-lowering medications for type 2 diabetes. The work includes experimentation with cell culture and mouse models, using various cell biology and protein biochemistry techniques.
