The carbon footprint calculator for NGOs, which was developed in VITRIs Carbon smart - project, is in active use. Several NGOs have already calculated their carbon footprint using this tool (e.g. STTK, Demo, Ilmastovanhemmat) or are in the process of doing so.
Last week Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland (TEK) announced they have also calculated their carbon footprint and are now taking initiative to cut down emissions of their own activities and to become carbon neutral. They also want to encourage others to take action in emissions reduction.
