Development Economics I (5 cr)
On completion of the unit you will be able to
- Understand and apply the main theories and principles of economic development, particularly in relation to growth and poverty.
- Understand the linkage between theory and practice.
- Develop analytical skills relevant to the assessment of these different economic development principles.
Course begins on Monday 1 August 2016.
Development Economics II 5 (cr)
In addition to the course Development Economics I, you will be able to understand and apply extended theories and principles of economic development and have received extensive applied examples of these from developing countries.
Course begins on Wednesday 10 August 2016.
Both courses will be complemented with group work exercises and be assessed with a written assignment. The course language is English.
