Kai Nordlund to become dean of the Faculty of Science 

Kai Nordlund’s term as dean will continue until the end of the year 2021.

Kai Nordlund, professor of computational materials physics, has been appointed dean of the Faculty of Science. Nordlund’s term as dean will continue until the end of the year 2021.

Between 2014 and 2017, Kai Nordlund served as the Faculty’s vice-dean responsible for teaching, infrastructure and bilingual affairs. In this capacity, projects such as the Big Wheel education reform fell under his purview at the Faculty.
  
Marja-Liisa Riekkola, professor of analytical chemistry, Samuli Siltanen, professor of industrial mathematics, and Hannu Toivonen, professor of computer science, will continue as vice-deans of the Faculty.
